Job summary

DayOne is seeking a senior Accountant to join our Jakarta-based finance team, handling daily accounting, closing processes, and tax compliance in a multinational setting.

You will coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and external consultants, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with PSAK/IFRS and VAT requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of accounting and tax experience in a multinational or complex corporate environment.
• Brevet A and B required.
• Strong knowledge of PSAK/IFRS and Indonesian tax regulations.
• Experience coordinating with external tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities and financial closing processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Prepare reconciliations, reports, schedules, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including regional team, auditors, tax, regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants on tax compliance matters, including VAT, corporate income tax, tax audits.
• Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and authorities, providing information and supporting documents for audits and tax filings.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess potential impacts on the business with support from external advisors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance and tax processes and internal controls.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Job Description

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities and financial closing processes, including the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Prepare reconciliations, reports, schedules and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including regional team, auditors, tax, regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants on tax compliance matters, including VAT, corporate income tax, tax audits. Review tax computations and filings and ensure timely submission and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and relevant authorities, providing necessary information, clarifications, and supporting documents to facilitate timely completion of audits, tax filings.
• Assist in monitoring changes in tax regulations and assess potential impacts on the business, with support from external advisors where required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance and tax processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as required from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in accounting and tax, preferably within a multinational or complex corporate environment.
• Brevet A and B
• Good understanding of financial reporting standards (PSAK/IFRS) and Indonesian tax regulations.
• Experience in coordinating with external tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
