About the role

A mineral trading company specializing in nickel is seeking a skilled Finance & Accounting Officer to join our dynamic team based in South Jakarta, Jakarta. This full-time position plays a vital role in safeguarding the financial health of the organization and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports related to nickel trading activities.
• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including purchases, exports, and logistics costs.
• Assisting in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support operational planning.
• Conducting financial audits and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records and compliance with internal controls.
• Providing financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decisions and risk management in nickel trading.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams (e.g., operations, logistics, tax) to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry‑specific financial policies.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the mining, commodities, or natural resources sector.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, accounting principles, and best practices in FAT functions.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Accurate, XERO or similar ERP systems) and data analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in high‑volume transaction environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic trading environment.
