Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist in Wellbore Construction to supervise completion and liner hanger installations at offshore and onshore client sites. You will work with the Completions and Well Interventions team to ensure safe, efficient operations and proper documentation.

The role requires a technical diploma with offshore/onshore completion tooling knowledge, teamwork, and willingness to cross-train across product lines. On-site field work with potential shifts and travel.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or equivalent (preferably engineering background).
• Experience running completions and/or Liner Hanger tools (offshore / Onshore field experience).
• Thorough technical knowledge in liner hangers, cased hole completion or completion techniques in drilling/work over rig operations (offshore and onshore).
• Be competent in running wellbore construction and completions system in onshore or offshore application.
• Be able to work, communicate well in a team and open to cross product line training and field opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Follow lead/supervisor field personnel for execution of well completion and liner hanger operations at rig sites, ensuring compliance with engineering programs and client specifications.
• Provide daily morning reports and communicate with project managers, clients, and team members regarding job status and challenges.
• Prepare and cross-check Run-in Hole Tally and Completing Field Pre-job Checklist including risk assessment and post job paperwork.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance field processes and service delivery.
• Support workshop teams in equipment preparation, maintenance, redress and inspection.
• Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance and Core Values.

As a Field Specialist - Wellbore Construction/Completion, you will be a vital member of the Completions and Well Interventions team. You will be responsible for directly supervising the installations of wellbore construction equipment particularly completion and liner hangers at clients offshore well sites.

You'll be responsible for:

• Follow lead / supervisor field personnel for execution of well completion and liner hanger operations at rig sites, ensuring comply to engineering programs and client specification.
• Providing daily morning report and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members regarding job status, field finding, and operational challenges.
• Preparing and/or cross-checking Run-in Hole Tally and Completing Field Pre-job Checklist including risk assessment and any special requirements as per project. Also ensuring all post job paperwork is prepared, signed and provided to representative in office.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance field processes and service delivery. Including contributes to lessons learned, failure analysis, and service quality improvement.
• Support workshop teams in equipment preparation, maintenance, redress and inspection as required.
• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Technical Diploma or equivalent (preferably engineering background)
• Have experience running completions and/or Liner Hanger tools (offshore / Onshore field experience) but fresh graduates are welcome.
• Have thorough technical knowledge in liner hangers, cased hole completion or completion techniques in drilling/work over rig operations (offshore and onshore environment).
• Be competent in running wellbore construction and completions system in onshore or offshore application.
• Be able to work, communicate well in a team and available & open to cross product line training and field opportunities.
