Job Summary
Responsible for providing engineering support, supervision, and coordination in the delivery of field services. The FSE oversees the work of Field Service Technicians, ensures proper planning and execution of projects, leads troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex technical issues, and liaises with customers to ensure satisfaction and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project requirements and develop field service execution plans.
- Supervise and guide Field Service Technicians during rig up, rig down, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure project schedules and deliverables are met.
- Provide advanced technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and system integration issues.
- Ensure correct calibration and performance of equipment before deployment.
- Validate and approve test results, reports, and technical documentation submitted by FSTs.
- Act as the main technical contact for clients during field operations.
- Provide professional recommendations and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Conduct review meetings with clients to assess service quality and gather feedback.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of service reports, test results, and maintenance logs prepared by FSTs.
- Submit consolidated reports to management including recommendations for system improvements.
- Support compliance with company QHSE documentation and reporting requirements.
- Mentor and train FSTs to improve their technical skills and efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and operators.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in field service practices.
- Ensure adherence to company safety standards and customer site HSE regulations.
- Oversee compliance with legal and contractual requirements during field operations.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Travel extensively to onshore and offshore rig sites and provide on-site leadership in challenging and high-pressure environments.
- Provide feedback regarding recurring issues or potential system enhancements.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of equipment.
Qualification and Skills
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the oil & gas or related industry.
- Fluent in written and verbal English, with local language communication skills.
- Good understanding of industry standard practices and job safety procedures.
- Proficient with IT and network related equipment.
- Knowledge of maintenance related to hydraulic instruments.
- Ability to collaborate with others and work well on a team.
