Job summary

A leading restaurant group in Jakarta Timur is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead menu creation and coordinate food preparations. Responsibilities include managing a team, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring food costs are controlled. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of culinary experience, with 2 years in a leadership role, and possess strong communication skills. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to various kitchen environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years experience in Chef role, with 2 years as Executive Chef.
  • Solid background in food and beverages in a restaurant, hotel, or cafe.
  • Understanding of HACCP and food costing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate SOP preparations for all menus.
  • Create new food & beverages menus.
  • Manage inventory and ensure ingredient freshness.
  • Control food costs and handle budgeting.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate SOP preparations of all menus (working closely with other Chefs)
  • Ccreate new food & beverages menus
  • Control preparations for big events (weddings, celebrations, etc) & outside catering
  • Make food costs & be aware of cost changes
  • Mmanage inventory, as well as freshness of ingredients
  • Manage kitchen’s cleanliness and hygiene
  • Handle budgeting for equipments and staffs
Requirements
  • Candidate must own minimum Diploma Degree (or equivalent) in Food & Beverages, Culinary of Art, Tourism & Travel or any relevant major
  • At least 6 years of experience in Chef role with minimum 2 years of experience as Executive Chef
  • Has solid experience in food and beverages (restaurant, hotel, cafe, or equivalent)
  • Has good communication skills; able to speak English is a plus
  • Understand food costing and HACCP
  • Fast learner and confident
  • Able to work in a team
  • Flexible and willing to travel
