Job summary

adidas is seeking a seasoned environmental professional to lead the environmental management program within the global supply chain. You will collaborate with functions across adidas to drive sustainability targets in key countries and onboard new Footwear Tier 2 facilities to our environmental program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience managing and implementing environmental issues within a manufacturing setting.
• University degree in Environmental studies, Science, Engineering, Climate discipline or Chemical.

Responsibilities

• Lead adidas environmental management program on supply chain in key countries with adidas.
• Project manage and lead onboarding for all new Footwear Tier 2 facilities to the adidas environmental program, guidelines, tools and indicators.
• Ensure facilities meet all adidas environmental program requirements and targets.
• Provide expertise to suppliers on energy, waste, water, chemical management and wastewater in the Global Supply Chain.
• Identify risk areas and provide recommendations based on legal obligations and Social & Environmental Affairs requirements.
• Assess environmental indicators to track supplier performance and report to business partners.
• Provide guidance and training to facilities on environmental issues to drive improvements.
• Identify training needs in the supply chain and ensure reporting deadlines in sustainability systems.
• Increase awareness of adidas environmental program achievements.
• Ensure sourcing operations comply with adidas policies and legal requirements.
