Job summary

PetroSea is seeking an Environment Officer under the Safety, Health, and Environment directorate to manage environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and protection efforts. • Ensure the organization complies with all environmental regulations, laws, and standards at local, national, and international levels.
• Successfully executed Environmental Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
• Drive the development of environmental management plans and sustainability strategies aligned with the company’s broader business goals.
• Managing Sustainability & Environmental Performance
• Identify, assess, and manage environmental risks (e.g., pollution, resource depletion, waste management), ensuring the implementation of risk control measures.

• Managing environmental risks for the long term of the company

• Zero tolerance to fraud (including bribery)

The Environment Officer plays a key role in promoting sustainable practices, managing environmental risks, and supporting the company’s overall environmental goals. The position also involves educating staff, monitoring environmental performance, and reporting on the company’s sustainability and environmental efforts.

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Environmental Engineering or related field

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

• Min 3-5 years’ experience in environmental management, sustainability, or compliance, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental risk management, and best practices in waste management, energy conservation, and resource efficiency.
• Results-driven with a commitment to continuous improvement and environmental sustainability.
• Familiarity with mining and HSE.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skill
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Certification

• If candidates do not meet the requirements specified in the Education section, evaluation shall be conducted in accordance with KKNI Level 5.
