Job Description
- Enable and modernize Internal Audit and Investigation processes—including audit planning, evidence collection, digital forensic examination, data analytics, execution, reporting, and regulatory compliance—through the deployment of innovative AI and forensic technologies.
- Drive end‑to‑end automation of repetitive or high‑volume tasks across the Internal Audit and Digital Forensic functions using Python, R, and other relevant programming languages.
- Design, develop, and implement specialized audit and forensic tools to enhance productivity, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the audit and investigative lifecycle.
- Continuously optimize internal audit workflows, digital evidence handling, chain‑of‑custody procedures, and investigative methodologies using automation, machine learning, and forensic best practices.
- Innovate processes and build resilient systems that strengthen data integrity, audit reliability, and compliance with internationally recognized standards (e.g., ISO 27037, ISO 27041, ISO 27042, NIST, SWGDE, ACFE guidance).
- Identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks to recommend enhancements in both audit methodologies and digital forensic techniques.
- Evaluate, adopt, and integrate state‑of‑the‑art tools and technologies in data science, digital forensics (e.g., disk/memory/computer/mobile forensics), AI, machine learning, and LLM‑based automation to improve detection capabilities and business value.
- Stay up to date with advancements in large language models, forensic automation platforms, and investigative technologies, applying new knowledge to strengthen internal systems and investigative readiness.
- Perform in‑depth analysis of large and diverse datasets—including logs, system artifacts, transactional data, and digital evidence—to identify red flags, anomalies, fraud indicators, and potential security incidents.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Criminal Justice. Preferred: Master’s degree or specialized training in digital forensics or cybercrime investigation.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience as a Digital Forensic professional.
- Proficiency in forensic tools: EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, X‑Ways, Cellebrite.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and file systems.
- Experience with network protocols, malware analysis, and data recovery.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python) and forensic automation.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and testimony.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
- Certification(s) such as CFCE, GCFA, CCFP, CEH, CHFI.
- Knowledge of laws related to digital evidence, privacy, and chain of custody. Background checks and security clearance may be required.
- Adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 standards for forensic labs, evidence handling and forensic examination on ISO 27037, ISO 27041, and ISO 27042.
