Job Description
The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to support production, inventory, and sales planning. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product availability, optimize inventory levels, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and manage forecasts using historical data, market trends, and cross-functional input.
- Conduct monthly demand review meetings as part of the S&OP process.
- Analyze forecast accuracy, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to understand promotions, product launches, and market changes.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to avoid stock-out or overstock situations.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on demand trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work with Supply Chain team to ensure production planning aligns with forecasted demand.
- Support system improvements and data integrity in demand planning tools.
- Track product lifecycle forecasts including phase-in and phase-out planning.
Qualifications
- Good communication in English and Mandarin (Basic skills).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
- Experience using demand planning or ERP tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to work with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of S&OP process and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.) required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or distribution industries.
