Datacenter People is working with a global data center services provider delivering project management, engineering design and critical facility management to hyperscale, colocation, and edge leaders.
What The Job Involves
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance according to established procedures and safety standards. (SOP, MOP).
- Escalation of all detected anomalies monitoring of the progress of corrective work if necessary and closure report.
- Assist in coordinating third-party contractors and vendors during maintenance or emergency interventions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the data center.
- Support operation team on the monitoring and responding to building management systems (BMS) alarms and conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, incidents, and equipment performance via the organisation tools: ,CMMS, DMS,ITSM,BMS etc
- Support infrastructure change activities such as power or cooling upgrades, optimisation of loadconsumption, or emergency drills.
- Manage spare parts inventory, including Tracking usage and stock level and ensuring critical spare parts are always available.
- Rapid response, investigation, and management of emergency situations in accordance with the Incident
- Management process of the organisation.
- Responsible for compliance with all Client mission critical processes.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
We Are Looking For Someone With
- Industry recognised mechanical or electrical trade school qualifications. (Bac +2, BTS, DUT,).
- 3 years in a similar position (e.g. Mission critical, oil & gas, power plant, marine,).
- Experience performing mechanical/electrical operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplined environment.
- Physical ability to carry the building round daily, work in confined or elevated spaces, lift and install equipment.
- French native language and preferably a level of English B2.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Working knowledge of Electrical switchgear, transformers UPS, HVAC, Generators, BMS controls, and fire suppression/alarm systems.
- Qualified to work on low voltage or high voltage electrical equipment or willingness to be trained as such.
