The Bloomberg Philanthropies Data for Health (D4H) Initiative aims to enhance public health data collection and use in low- and middle-income countries. The initiative aims to ensure that a billion more people live in countries where data are used to steer public policy and program decisions. Under the Initiative, Vital Strategies, in partnership with other organizations, is implementing a multi-year program to improve civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) and Data Impact (DI) to further endorsed data used in policies and decision-making in 25 countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Pacific, including Indonesia. The CRVS Program and Data Impact Program (DIP), under the D4H Initiative, have been actively supporting activities in Indonesia since 2021.
Vital Strategies is seeking a Jakarta-based consultant who will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Data Impact program activities in Indonesia under guidance of a Senior Technical Advisor. The consultant will be tasked to provide technical assistance to the Government of Indonesia, especially the Ministry of Health, in the utilization of health data for generating evidence-based health policies. The consultant may also engage with the CRVS program to achieve other D4H Initiative objectives in Indonesia.Under guidance and instruction of the Senior Technical Advisor, the consultant will:
A set of deliverables will be defined based on current and upcoming workplan activities being implemented at the start of the agreement.
It is anticipated that the consultant will work approximately 10 days per month for the 6-month period. Please include your daily or monthly fee in local currency. Vital Strategies reserves the right to negotiate fees. Please note that contracts must be executed and paid in the currency of the country where the service provider is based and that payments are tied to deliverables and the actual number of days worked (up to a maximum of 10 days per month unless otherwise agreed to by the contract manager).
