Job summary

Clean Energy Resource Teams is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data architecture and ETL pipelines that support multiple programs and initiatives across Minnesota and beyond. The role focuses on automated ingestion, data cleaning, and transforming data to serve analysts and dashboards.

You will collaborate with fellow Data Engineers and analysts, build dashboards with Plotly Dash and Power BI, and contribute to robust data quality and governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, analytics engineering, data analytics, data science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 0-2 years experience in data engineering, data analytics, statistics, or related field; internships/co-ops may be considered.
• Foundational SQL skills; one analytical language such as Python.
• Experience using Git or another version control system.

Responsibilities

• Support development of the team’s data architecture and data pipelines from external partners.
• Write, modify, and maintain Python ETL scripts and SQL data models to automate and optimize data processing workflows.
• Build and maintain processes to combine data sources into clean datasets in cloud data warehouses.
• Develop and monitor automated data workflows using Prefect or similar tools.
