Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise the on-shift team of Shift Technicians in a critical facility.

You will ensure rounds, logs, and maintenance are performed safely and to procedure, and you will be the senior technical authority on shift. You will coordinate MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, lead first responses to alarms and incidents, review permit-to-work documentation, and conduct shift handovers to ensure issues and risks are clearly communicated.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in critical facility or data center operations with shift supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical critical systems.
• Ability to lead a team calmly under incident conditions.
• Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Shift Technicians during the rostered shift, allocating tasks and verifying completion of rounds, logs, and checklists.
• Act as shift authority for execution of MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, ensuring procedures are followed precisely.
• Lead first-response to alarms and critical incidents, initiating EOPs and escalating to the Critical Facility Manager as required.
• Review and approve permit-to-work documentation for vendor and contractor activity performed during the shift.
• Conduct shift handover briefings, ensuring accurate transfer of open issues, in-progress work, and risks to the incoming shift.
• Perform quality checks on completed PPM and corrective maintenance tasks logged in the CMMS.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS dashboards and escape abnormal trends or thresholds.
• Enforce EHS and safety standards on shift, including PPE compliance and safe work practices.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to Shift Technicians and Day Technicians.
