Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Day Technician to support the daily operation of ICT infrastructure onsite. You will monitor vendors, verify work scopes and assist with maintenance, installations and project activities in a safe, compliant manner.

The role includes remote hands support for servers, networks, and storage, plus equipment installation and decommissioning under guidance from engineers and teams. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
• Experience in data center operations or ICT infrastructure is preferred.
• Familiarity with server hardware, networks, and cabling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vendors, contractors and third-party service providers in the data center.
• Verify work permits, scopes, and access authorizations before work starts.
• Support ICT maintenance, installation and project activities per SOP/MOP and safety rules.
• Provide remote hands support for servers, networking and storage equipment.
• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, replacement and decommissioning.
• Perform visual inspections of ICT equipment, racks and cabling.
• Conduct routine data hall walkthroughs and report anomalies and risks.
• Coordinate with Operations, Network, Server, Asset Management, Facilities and Security.
• Maintain records of vendor activities and daily operational logs.
• Prepare daily work summaries, maintenance and incident reports.

About the Role

As a Data Center Day Technician, you will support the daily operation of the Client's ICT infrastructure by providing onsite technical assistance, monitoring vendor activities, performing remote hands support, and assisting with maintenance and project works in accordance with operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

This job is part of the Data Center Operations function. They are responsible for supporting the operation of critical ICT infrastructure and ensuring onsite activities are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in monitoring vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers performing work within the data center.
• Verify work permits, maintenance scopes, and access authorizations prior to work commencement.
• Support the monitoring of ICT maintenance, installation, and project activities to ensure compliance with approved Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and safety requirements.
• Provide remote hands support for servers, network devices, storage systems, and other ICT infrastructure.
• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, replacement, labeling, and decommissioning activities.
• Perform visual inspections of ICT equipment, racks, structured cabling, patch panels, and associated infrastructure.
• Conduct routine data hall walkthroughs and report abnormalities, alarms, environmental issues, or operational risks.
• Support hardware replacement, cable patching, rack and stack activities, and connectivity verification under guidance from engineering or technical teams.
• Coordinate with Operations, Network, Server, Asset Management, Facilities, Security teams, and external vendors to facilitate onsite activities.
• Monitor vendor work progress and report any issues or deviations from approved schedules and technical requirements.
• Perform post-maintenance inspections and verify work completion before service handover.
• Support incident response activities and elevate issues in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor activities, maintenance execution, equipment movements, and daily operational logs.
• Prepare daily work summaries, maintenance reports, incident reports, and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, QA/QC requirements, Information Security policies, and Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards.
• Support emergency activities when required.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
• Deliver work by following clearly defined tasks and instructions under guidance from senior team members.

What You’ll Need

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in data center operations, ICT infrastructure support, or technical field services is preferred.
• Basic understanding of server hardware, network infrastructure, structured cabling, and data center environments.
• Familiarity with rack and stack activities, patch management, and remote hands services.
• Knowledge of data center operational procedures, change management, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read technical documentation, rack layouts, and basic network diagrams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a mission-critical environment while maintaining adherence to operational and safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
• Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Ability to follow established work routines, processes, and standards in the execution of assigned tasks.
• Ability to communicate and exchange straightforward information with internal teams and external vendors.
