Job summary

Synpulse in Jakarta is seeking a seasoned Data/AI DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable data and AI platforms on AWS, with Azure as a bonus. You will partner with engineering teams to integrate AI/data workflows into production and enforce best DevSecOps practices.

You will deploy IaC, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance, IAM, and observability across cloud environments while driving automation and cost efficiency through Datadog and CloudWatch.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, Cloud Eng, or Data/AI platform development.
• AWS expertise; Azure experience is a plus.
• At least 1 year in AI Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain data and AI solutions with Databricks, ensuring performance and security.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for cloud workloads.
• Implement IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and manage Kubernetes/EKS/AKS.
• Configure cloud apps, IAM, SSO, RBAC, and enforce security/compliance.
• Automate tasks with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and AWS Lambda/GitHub Actions.
• Monitor performance and cost with Datadog/CloudWatch; improve observability.
• Establish governance and security policies across data, AI, and cloud environments.
• Evaluate new tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Serve as SME for cloud, AI, data issues and guide teams.

About The Job

We are seeking a skilled Data/AI DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available data and AI platforms while supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices. This role focuses primarily on AWS, with Azure experience considered a plus. You will work closely with engineering teams to integrate AI and data workflows into production systems and drive best practices in DevSecOps.

Job Requirements

• 7+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Data/AI platform development.
• Strong AWS expertise; Azure experience is a plus.
• At least 1 year in AI Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency in Terraform (primary), Ansible, and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, and compliance frameworks.

Soft Skills

• Analytical, proactive, and adaptable, able to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in data-driven environments.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Fluent in English.

• Monitor and optimize infrastructure and application performance, observability, and logging (Datadog, CloudWatch), ensuring cost-efficiency and scalability.
• Establish and enforce governance, compliance, and security policies across data, AI, and cloud environments.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex cloud, AI, and data-related issues and provide guidance to teams.
