About the role
Join PT. Safround Logistics Indonesia as a Custom Broker, a crucial role in our Import/Export & Customs division. As a Custom Broker, you will be responsible for navigating the complexities of customs regulations and procedures to facilitate the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. This full-time position is based in our South Jakarta, Jakarta office.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and submit all necessary customs documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Liaise with customs authorities and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or queries that arise
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on customs-related matters, helping them to minimise delays and maximise cost savings
- Stay up-to-date with changes in customs laws, regulations and policies, and adapt procedures accordingly
- Collaborate with the broader logistics team to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to import and export activities
- Maintain detailed records and generate reports to track the progress and performance of customs-related processes
What we're looking for
- Must have PPJK Certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Custom Broker or in a similar customs-related role
- Thorough understanding of customs laws, regulations and procedures, both locally and internationally
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with customs authorities and clients
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex customs-related issues
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in using relevant customs software and IT systems
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in customs, logistics or a related field would be an advantage
