We are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for the Custody Team who is passionate about creating the best product possible, from initial concept through to launch.

Position Summary

Depending on your technical skills, you could work on features such as wallet services, transaction handling and blockchain integration. We are constantly rolling out new features and adapting our existing products to meet client needs or address technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on servers and nodes to ensure business continuity.
• Partner with product managers to roll out secure and scalable products while implementing architecturally sound solutions in an agile fashion, iterating quickly and shipping frequently.
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring and logging infrastructure, and write comprehensive test scripts.
• Document steps and processes for the setup and maintenance of infrastructure.
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders while being on standby for incident management.

Must-have

• A strong foundation: You should have at least 4+ years of software development experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expert-level knowledge: We're seeking an expert in Distributed Systems, Databases, and AWS (or other major cloud providers like Azure or GCP).
• Core engineering skills: You must demonstrate a solid understanding of fundamental engineering concepts, including data structures, software design best practices, run-time optimizations, and algorithmic complexity.
• Architectural vision: You should be able to understand and articulate the architecture of an entire system, including the technical trade-offs between different design implementations.
• Programming languages: You must have hands‑on experience with Go, or a strong track record of quickly learning new languages and frameworks if your primary experience is in other languages such as Java or Python. Proficiency with modern development tools and environments is essential.
• Self‑starter and collaborator: You are self‑motivated and can work successfully as an individual contributor or as part of a team.
• Project Ownership: You are a creative problem‑solver with a proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and lead projects from inception to completion. You actively seek out automation and leverage modern tools, including AI, to improve efficiency, maintain meticulous quality, and accelerate development.
• Strong communication: You have excellent communication and written skills in English, with a willingness to provide training and skills transfer to others.

Good to have

• DevOps and infrastructure skills: You should have hands‑on experience with Linux, container orchestration (especially Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as NIST.
• Blockchain knowledge: Experience with Ethereum Web3 libraries, Bitcoin libraries or blockchain smart contracts is a significant plus.
• Security Foundation: Foundation in security topics such as Cryptography, Authentication/Authorization, etc.
• Frontend Framework Experience: Hands‑on experience with one or more modern JS frameworks (React) to understand client‑side requirements and collaborate on API design.
