Job summary

Macquarie Group seeks a transactional lawyer with 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in New York. The role focuses on corporate, asset, and debt acquisition transactions, including infrastructure debt and asset-based investments, with deep knowledge of debt documentation and US regulatory matters.

The successful candidate will provide practical legal advice, draft and negotiate complex documents, and balance commercial goals with client protections.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years’ post-qualification experience in New York at an international law firm or leading financial institution.
• Experience with corporate, asset, and debt acquisition transactions, including infrastructure debt, transportation, or asset-based investments.
• Strong knowledge of debt documentation: credit agreements, term sheets, intercreditor agreements, guarantees, security documents.
• Understanding of US regulations affecting debt investments with practical advisory capability.
• Ability to balance commercial goals with protecting client interests.
