Cost Control Staff – Entry & Advanced Level
Minimum D3/S1 degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, finance, or data analysis (fresh graduates welcome).
Basic understanding of project costing, budgeting, and cost monitoring.
Familiar with project documentation such as PO, CO, BOQ, invoices, and progress reports.
Experience using ERP or costing software is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data processing.
Able to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willing to be based in Batam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring project or operational costs.
- Maintain cost tracking and reporting documentation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Compare actual costs vs approved budget and report discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement, accounting, and project teams for cost data.
- Assist in preparing cost reports and supporting analysis for management.
2. Cost Control – Advanced Level
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, project finance, or similar role, preferably in construction, engineering, oil & gas, EPC, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of cost management, financial planning, CAPEX/OPEX control, and project cash flow.
- Experienced in preparing cost analysis, budget planning, forecasting, cost allocation and variance reporting.
- Proficient in ERP/enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with strong data interpretation capabilities.
- Able to monitor multi-project costing and budget performance.
- Leadership experience is required for Supervisor/Manager levels.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Batam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee project or corporate cost control function.
- Develop and maintain cost control procedures, systems, and reporting standards.
- Monitor budget vs actual spending and prepare variance analysis.
- Coordinate with PM, procurement, finance, and engineering departments for cost validation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly cost reports for management.
- Support planning, forecasting, and schedule–cost alignment.
- Identify cost risks, propose corrective actions, and ensure financial efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior cost control staff (for supervisory roles).
