Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Core Engineer, NOC Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining IMS networks.
• Understanding of PS Core & IMS protocols (GTP, Diameter, SIP).
• Experience with monitoring and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Core Engineer to join our Core Network team. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, development, and optimization of the Packet Switched Core (PS Core) network, with a strong focus on network performance improvement and handling complex technical cases. The ideal candidate has deep hands‑on experience with IMS/VoLTE technology and a passion for solving technical problems at their root.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance: Ensure high availability, stability, and optimal performance of all PS Core (GGSN, PGW, SGW, MME, etc.) and IMS/VoLTE (CSCF, TAS, SBC, etc.) network elements.

Technical Case Handling & Troubleshooting: Be the key person for resolving complex trouble tickets. Conduct in-depth investigation of service disruptions, KPI degradation, and quality issues (especially VoLTE‑related). Analyze call traces, logs, and performance data to identify root causes.

Improvement & Optimization: Proactively analyze network performance, identify areas for improvement, and design/implement solutions for capacity, quality, and efficiency optimization of the PS Core & IMS network.

Project Involvement: Participate in network development, modernization, or integration projects for PS Core and IMS/VoLTE elements (e.g., 5G SA rollout, VoNR, new feature implementation).

Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams (RAN, Transmission) and vendors to resolve cross‑domain issues and ensure smooth implementation of solutions.

On‑Call Support: Participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency support outside business hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 3‑5 years of experience as a Core Engineer, NOC Engineer, or similar role at a telecommunications operator or vendor.

Mandatory specific experience: Hands‑on experience in operating and maintaining IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) networks, with a focus on VoLTE services.

Understanding of key PS Core & IMS protocols and interfaces (GTP, Diameter, SIP).

Familiar with monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).

Relevant certifications (from Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson, etc.) are a significant plus.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
