Position Open : CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR (PANEL MAN)

Division : Essential Oil - Patchouli Oil

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Production Technician.
• Industry Focus (Preferred): Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Chemical or Essential Oil industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating Ms. Office applications.
• Language Proficiency: Capable of actively speaking and writing in English.
• Knowledge Base: Possesses knowledge of Chemical Engineering Processes.
• Work Schedule: Willingness to work in shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process Operation & Optimization: Operate and monitor Distributed Control System (DCS) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to control and optimize various chemical processes, including reaction, separation, distillation, blending, and material transfer.
• Parameter Monitoring: Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, level, \$\text{pH}\$, and analytical readings via the Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) screens, trends, and alarms.
• Real‑time Adjustment: Execute real-time adjustments to control setpoints, valve positions, pump speeds, and other control elements to maintain desired operational conditions, ensure product quality, and achieve production targets.
• Alarm Response & Analysis: Promptly and effectively respond to process alarms, analyze their root causes, and take appropriate corrective action to prevent upsets, deviations, or emergency situations.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnosis: Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues, equipment malfunctions, and process deviations using DCS/PLC graphics, alarms, trends, and communication with field operators.
• Corrective Implementation: Implement corrective measures to resolve process problems, often in coordination with field operators, maintenance teams, and technical teams.
• Emergency Response: Act as the first line of defense during plant emergencies (e.g., fire, spills, equipment failure, abnormal conditions), initiating Emergency Shutdown Procedures (ESD) if necessary, and coordinating with the emergency response team.
• Communication & Coordination: Maintain continuous and clear communication with field operators, providing instructions, receiving updates on field conditions, and coordinating operational activities (e.g., equipment startup, shutdown, line changes).
• Reporting: Provide detailed and accurate shift handover reports to the incoming control room operator, covering process status, ongoing issues, and pending tasks.
• General Duties: Perform other assigned duties as required.
