What you’ll do:

As Process Engineering Lead – Food Manufacturing, you will take ownership of designing and optimising production processes for a diverse range of snack products. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with R&D teams to define product specifications, develop efficient layouts for manufacturing equipment, and establish best‑in‑class business processes that support innovation. You will play an integral part in conducting rigorous testing at every stage of production while providing expert technical guidance to ensure high‑quality outcomes. By overseeing compliance efforts and monitoring key performance indicators such as production rates and inventory levels, you will proactively identify opportunities for improvement. • Define base products for each category by collaborating closely with research and development teams to ensure alignment with market trends and consumer preferences.
• Design efficient production equipment layouts that maximise space utilisation, streamline workflow, and support safe operations throughout the facility.
• Develop detailed sequences of operations for new product launches as well as renovations of existing lines, ensuring seamless integration into current manufacturing systems.
• Establish robust business process systems related to R&D activities for both new product development and ongoing improvements.
• Conduct thorough testing at all stages of production, providing technical guidance to cross‑functional teams involved in product design and scale‑up.
• Perform regular quality inspections on products and processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee compliance with relevant regulations by monitoring installation, maintenance, and operation of all production equipment.
• Monitor production rates and finished goods inventory levels to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies within the supply chain.
• Evaluate end‑to‑end process flows regularly, making recommendations for improvements based on data‑driven insights.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality standards, and increase overall productivity.

What you bring:

• Significant hands‑on experience within food processing environments – ideally focused on snacks or similar FMCG categories.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 7 years proven experience in process engineering or R&D within the snack industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing production equipment layouts that optimise workflow efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
• Strong background in developing sequences of operations for both new product introductions and renovations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of establishing business process systems related to R&D activities.
• Experience conducting testing at various stages of production to identify issues early.
• Ability to perform detailed quality inspections on both products and processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements during installation, maintenance, and operation of equipment.
• Proficiency in monitoring production rates and inventory levels to intervene when bottlenecks arise.
