Job summary

Traveloka in Jakarta seeks a Data Protection Officer to lead data privacy governance across the region, including DPIA, ROPA, AI compliance, and privacy notices. The role ensures corporate-wide adherence to privacy laws and cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities include acting as DPO for group entities, updating staff on relevant laws, and driving PDP/AI governance, training, and compliance programs across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in law.
• 3–5 years handling legal and compliance matters in a law firm or in-house.
• Experience with data privacy and personal data protection required.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian corporate laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations across all regions, including managing Privacy Notices, DPIA, ROPA, AI compliance, etc.
• Act as Data Protection Officer for relevant group entities.
• Ensure staff are updated on laws and regulations related to personal data protection and cybersecurity.
• Ensure PDP and AI governance of policies and procedures for the entire group.
• Deliver and support training and compliance socialization programs.

• Lead the effort to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations in all Regions including management of Privacy Notice, Data Protection Impact Assessment, Record of Processing Activities, AI Compliance, etc;


• To act as Data Protection Officer for relevant Group entity;


• To ensure everyone in the Company being updated of laws and regulations in particular related to personal data protection and cybersecurity;


• To ensure the relevant PDP and AI governance of policies and procedures for the whole company group; and


• To deliver and support training and compliance socialization programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Law.


• Experience of 3-5 years handling legal and compliance matters in a law firm or as in-house Legal in a Company.


• Having exposure or experience in handling Data Privacy and Personal Data Protection matters is a must.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


• Solid understanding of Indonesian corporate laws and regulations.


• Strong analytical thinking.


• Must be willing to collaborate with other legal functions and business units.


• Quick learner of the business and legal process.
