Job summary

A leading mining company in Indonesia is seeking a Community Relations Officer to manage stakeholder relationships and community support. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in Community Relations or CSR. Responsibilities include monitoring community issues, mediating conflicts, and building a positive company image. This role is based in Lahat, South Sumatra.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in anthropology/Sociology/Law/Communication or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Community Relations/CSR/Government Relations or related field.
  • Good competencies in Public Relation, Handling Conflict, Community Awareness, and Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor community issues arising from the company's operations.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders in local villages.
  • Conduct fundraising for community support.
  • Convey policies to stakeholders about operational activities.
  • Mediate conflicts between the community and the company.
  • Build a positive image of the company with local entities.
  • Supervise security activities for company assets.
  • Prevent disruptions to company operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitoring all issues that develop in the community as an impact of the company's operational activities and anticipating potential conflicts between the company and the community so that the impact can be minimized.
  • Building good relationships with key stakeholders in villages around the company's operational areas.
  • Conducting fundraising to gain support from the community regarding the company's existence (social license to operate).
  • Conveying all policies and information about the company's operational activities to stakeholders in the community around the mining environment.
  • Conducting mediation between the community and the company if there is any conflict of interest that occurs so the best and most beneficial joint decision can be agreed upon for both parties.
  • Building a positive image of the company to the local government, NGOs, religious leaders, community leaders, etc.
  • Supervising the implementation of security activities for all company assets and operations.
  • Making the necessary efforts to prevent disruptions or termination of company operations.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in anthropology / Sociology / Law / Communicationor related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Community Relations/ CSR/ Government Relations or related field.
  • Good competencies in Public Relation, Handling Conflict, Community Awarenes, and Reporting.
  • Will be placed in PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia's subsidiary, PT Mustika Indah Permai (Non-Roster, Lahat site – South Sumatra).
