Stairway Games is looking for an experienced Community Manager to help shape and grow the Coral Island community, a reimagined farm sim inspired by the classics, installed over 1 million copies on Steam. Our community discord server is huge, consisting of 127,000+ members. As our Community Manager, you’ll be the voice and heart of Coral Island, building authentic connections with players and ensuring our community stays vibrant, informed, and engaged. This is a senior-level position, ideal for someone who has successfully built and managed game communities before.

Stairway Games is a fully funded private company based in Bali. With creative freedom from a thriving remote team of over 100+ individuals from all over Indonesia and active founders, we are working to grow our studio to deliver high-quality games from Indonesia. In 2023, we proudly released our first game, Coral Island, and in 2025, we followed it up with our latest title, Funguys Swarm. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute our community strategy, ensuring consistent, engaging communication.
  • Post and engage on social media.
  • Oversee crisis communication and community sentiment tracking.
  • Collaborate with the dev team to create community assets (videos, podcasts, scenes, dev chats, etc.).
  • Serve as the public spokesperson for Coral Island across platforms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key community influencers and content creators.
  • Organize remote events: contests, fan chats, and more.
  • Stay updated on trends, competitor activities, and best practices in game communities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing game communities, preferably for PC or console titles. (Please share specific examples of communities you’ve managed and your role in their growth.)
  • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Previous experience as a Discord moderator or community lead.
  • Cool-headed, calm under pressure, and skilled in handling tough community situations.
  • Assertive communicator with great follow-through.
  • Able to work flexible or night hours to engage global players.
  • Work From Anywhere (with preference for candidates based in Indonesia).
