Job Description

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for commissioning support for a range of configurable gen‑set, microgrid and engine controllers and their accessories in various applications in the power generation, renewables and industrial automation industries in Indonesia. They also provide full technical support via phone, email or in person for all customers/distributors under the administration of ComAp SE Asia, and deliver technical trainings/customized trainings to the customers in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commissioning of modern control using Complex Control modules for load sharing as well as load shedding systems for industrial, microgrids & power plants including switch‑gear control & protections and integration of custom‑designed SCADA for EMS/PMS/AMS for distribution network and generators.
  • Interface/commissioning site with projects either onshore and offshore comprising SCADA, Electrical System, Emergency Shutdown System, Access Control System, Automatic Tank Gauging System.
  • Provide technical commissioning support for all ComAp products through email, phone and on‑site visit primarily in Indonesia under administration of the Cost Centre.
  • Assist in the design of Control Systems to meet Customers’ Requirements, including design of PLC, SCADA, SLD and Circuit Diagrams.
  • Support application design, installations and commissioning at customer sites, validate and report warranty claims.
  • Provide hands‑on trainings at customer sites within the territory.
  • Solve, investigate and troubleshoot issues with ComAp products and applications on a daily basis.
  • Participate and support the Cost Centre’s sales team at customers/distributors when deeper technical discussion is required.
  • Cooperate with ComAp HQ departments – Marketing (feedback from customers, suggestions for future development) and R&D (providing advanced information and feedback from customers based on on‑site support and commissioning).
  • Maintain technical equipment of the Cost Centre used for site emulation purposes – starter kits, simulator kits and controllers demo sets.
  • Share growing responsibilities of the existing Commissioning Support team and provide timely support for customers/distributors in the region.
  • Provide on‑site commissioning support for customers independently for various applications.
  • Project Solution Design and Review which includes AutoCAD drawings for panels, switchgear and other electrical components.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics field.
  • Technical role in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with experience in site commissioning, testing and application/technical support.
  • Developed knowledge of PLC or microprocessor‑based controls, software and logic.
  • Developed knowledge of reciprocating engines, generators, pumps, compressors, battery storage, PV inverters, switchgear and other industrial equipment.
  • Highly developed fault diagnostic skills (relating to ComAp products). Most relevant experience.
  • Highly developed PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Language proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
