The successful candidate will lead commissioning and startup activities and transition to an operational leadership role. This position requires a Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 8-10 years in the oil and gas sector, particularly in LNG processes. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards and managing plant operations effectively.
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Commissioning and Operations Engineer to join our team for a Mini LNG plant project in Tuban, East Java. This is a critical, dual-phase role: the successful candidate will initially lead and manage all commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities for the new facility. Following successful commissioning, the individual will transition to a key operational leadership role within the plant management team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the startup of a modern LNG facility and ensure its safe, reliable, and efficient long-term operation.
Lead Commissioning: Take ownership of the final stages of the project lifecycle, including pre-commissioning verification, functional testing, and integrated commissioning of all plant systems (e.g., gas processing, liquefaction, storage, and utility systems).
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all commissioning and startup procedures strictly adhere to established safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Vendor Management: Interface with Site team, equipment vendors, and specialists to coordinate punch list clearance, system handover, and performance guarantees.
Team Training: Lead the training for the future operations and maintenance team on the newly installed equipment and processes.
Performance Testing: Plan and execute plant performance guarantee tests to ensure the facility meets design specifications for capacity, efficiency, and product quality.
Operational Leadership: Manage and direct daily plant operations, ensuring optimal production, efficiency, and utilization of resources.
Process Optimization: Continuously monitor plant performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement strategies for process optimization, debottlenecking, and energy efficiency.
Maintenance Interface: Collaborate closely with the maintenance department to develop and refine the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and ensure high equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
Change Management: Lead the Management of Change (MOC) process for operational modifications and upgrades.
Reporting: Provide detailed operational performance reports to senior management.
