Overview

On behalf of our client, a well-established masterbatch and polymer company based in Bekasi, we’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Colour Creation Specialist.

Responsibilities
  • Create and develop colour formulas based on customer requests and market trends.
  • Research and forecast colour trends to support future product development.
  • Conduct colour trials using plastic processing machines like injection and blow molding.
  • Measure and check colour accuracy using spectrophotometers (LAB & ΔE values).
  • Work with various plastic materials such as PP, PE, PET, ABS, and others.
  • Use colour matching software to develop and fine-tune formulations.
  • Prepare colour samples, technical documentation, and lab reports.
  • Present colour concepts to internal teams and support sales during client discussions.
  • Coordinate with R&D, QC, and production teams to ensure smooth implementation and colour consistency.
  • Maintain and update digital and physical colour libraries for traceability.
Qualifications
  • Educational background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related fields.
  • 2–5 years of experience in RND, colour matching, masterbatch, or plastic product development.
  • Hands-on experience with spectrophotometers and colour matching software/tools.
  • Basic understanding of polymer materials and plastic processing machines.
  • Creative with a good eye for colour, detail, and trend awareness.
  • Able to collaborate with multiple departments and manage project timelines.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive working attitude.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is a plus.
