Job description

About Amartha

At Amartha, we empower micro‑businesses across Indonesia, enabling growth and equal prosperity. We’ve supported over 2.7 million entrepreneurs—mostly women—by disbursing IDR 22.8 trillion in funding. As we step into 2025, Amartha is evolving into a technology‑driven financial ecosystem, expanding our reach in lending, funding, and payments. Through innovation and digital solutions, we aim to enhance accessibility, streamline processes, and create a seamless user experience.

About the team

As a Collection Recovery team, We sit at the heart of Amartha's mission: ensuring the sustainability of our lending ecosystem so that more micro-entrepreneurs can access the capital they need to grow. We are a team of passionate, data‑driven, and impact‑focused professionals who believe that great collection is not just about recovering numbers — it is about finding the right solutions for borrowers while protecting the health of our portfolio.

About the role

We are looking for a Collection MIS and Data Analytics who will serve as the analytical backbone of our collection operations. In this role, you will be responsible for turning complex collection data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions, improve recovery rates, and optimize the effectiveness of our collection treatments.

This is not just a reporting role. We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and commercially minded — someone who does not just present numbers but tells the story behind them and recommends what to do next.

Job Description
  • Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance reports (payment rate, contact rate, PTP conversion, DPD bucket movement)
  • Monitor the performance of all collection treatment channels — WhatsApp Blast, IVR, Desk Collection, Home Visit, and BP Recovery — and proactively flag anomalies and trends
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on delinquency trends, DPD migration, flow rates, and borrower payment behavior
  • Perform pre- and post‑initiative impact analysis to measure effectiveness of new collection strategies
  • Support lever sizing and impact quantification to help the team prioritize high‑recovery initiatives
  • Develop borrower segmentation frameworks to support targeted treatment design across all channels and DPD buckets
  • Consolidate and validate collection data from multiple sources including field apps, core systems, and third‑party platforms
  • Conduct regular data quality audits and elevate discrepancies promptly
  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests from internal stakeholders within agreed timelines
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both operational teams and senior management
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably in financial services, fintech, or collection/credit operations
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets (advanced), and visualization/analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python.
  • Familiarity with collection management systems or lending applications is a plus
  • Strong understanding of collections operations, portfolio management, delinquency metrics, and lending business processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from large datasets
  • Able to communicate complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving capability, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solutions‑oriented
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with business, operations, risk, and data teams in fast‑paced environments.

At Amartha, we are dedicated to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, ensures equity, and fosters inclusion. We believe that diverse perspectives—shaped by factors such as gender, age, race, ethnicity, education, culture, and life experiences—drive innovation and growth.

We actively welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join us in building an environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered. Our commitment is to provide equal opportunities and foster a sense of belonging that enables our employees to thrive and make meaningful contributions.
