Job summary

Eterna Indonesia is hiring a Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure for U.S.-based clients. This fully remote role requires night shift hours aligned to Indonesian time and expertise across major cloud platforms and IaC tooling.

You will build scalable, secure cloud environments, automate deployments, monitor costs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native architectures for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferably multi-cloud).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud networks, VPCs/VNets, subnets, and routing.
• Implement and manage IAM policies, roles, and security controls.
• Deploy Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Monitor cloud costs, optimize resource utilization, and manage budgets.
• Implement cloud backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Configure and maintain cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with development teams on cloud-native application architectures.
• Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
• Document cloud architectures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

We are currently hiring a skilled Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure for our U.S.-based clients.

About the Role

You'll design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure for U.S. clients while ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency. This is a fully remote position with night shift hours (Indonesian time). This role requires expertise in major cloud platforms and the ability to implement modern cloud-native architectures using Infrastructure as Code.

Requirements (Must-have)

• 2+ years of cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure experience
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferably multi-cloud)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi)
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for technical communication
• Willingness to work night shift (Indonesian time) aligned to U.S. business hours

Additional:

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
• Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Functions)
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization tools and strategies
• Understanding of compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
• Prior experience with U.S. Fortune 500 or enterprise clients
