Qualifications

Successful completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program.
Valid Speech-Language Pathology License to practice in appropriate state(s).
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective leadership and customer relations skills.
Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.

Responsibilities

Executes doctor’s orders and evaluates/treats motor speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
Develops and implements measurable, functional treatment plans.
Maintains therapy records and ensures supplies/equipment are available.
Keeps patient schedules per guidelines and documents for billing/reimbursement.
Participates in patient, family, and facility meetings and adheres to safety policies.
Coordinates training programs for staff and residents to improve outcomes.
Initiates new programs focused on quality of life improvements for residents.
