Job Description
As a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who will report to the CEO, your main responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership & Brand Transformation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that rejuvenates the brand, enhances relevance, and builds trust across diverse customer segments.
- Lead brand repositioning initiatives to align with evolving customer expectations and market dynamics.
- Champion storytelling and purpose-driven marketing to differentiate the brand in a competitive landscape.
- Oversee branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns to enhance market presence.
Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Oversee digital acquisition strategies across paid media, SEO/SEM, social, and programmatic channels to drive qualified leads and conversions.
- Implement data-driven marketing models (e.g., Marketing Mix Modeling, attribution frameworks) to optimize spend and measure impact.
- Collaborate with product and data teams to personalize customer journeys and improve engagement across digital touchpoints.
- Manage and optimise the marketing budget effectively.
Customer Insights & Market Intelligence
- Leverage analytics and research to understand customer behavior, identify growth opportunities, and inform campaign strategies.
- Build and refine customer personas to guide targeted messaging and product‑market fit.
- Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends to ensure marketing strategies remain innovative and effective.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Operations to align marketing efforts with business goals and customer needs.
- Manage external agencies and strategic partnerships to amplify brand reach and campaign effectiveness.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) should have excellent communication in both Bahasa and English, and ideally comes from a Financial Services background (insurance and/or banks preferred). Other requirements include:
- Total of at least 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally in insurance, banking, fintech, or consumer services.
- Proven success in digital marketing, customer acquisition, and brand transformation.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in marketing technology, CRM, and data platforms.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of the insurance industry and market dynamics.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and decision‑making based on insights.
- Innovative thinking with the ability to drive change and deliver results.
