Our client is a luxurious beach villa nested on one of the most idyllic islands of the Nusa Islands, Indonesia. They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead the property's accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting activities, manage reporting and taxation, and provide reliable financial support to the management team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Chief Accountant or in a senior accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, accounting standards, and compliance procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent certification is a strong plus).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide and develop the accounting team.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations, including GL management, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure proper tax calculations, reporting, and timely submission of all tax obligations.
- Maintain and improve internal control systems and accounting procedures.
- Manage budgeting support, expense tracking, and basic variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital, ensuring proper documentation and controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
- Provide financial insights to management for operational decision‑making.
- Supervise and support the finance & accounting team to ensure productivity and accuracy.
- Ensure timely vendor payments, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
