Job description

Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen staff. Determine food presentation and create decorative displays. Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food. Monitor food preparation quantities and inform service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items. Prepare special meals or substitutions as needed. Assist with kitchen tasks and provide necessary supplies. Monitor kitchen stock levels and maintain food safety logs. Ensure food quality and report issues to management.

Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees. Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions. Complete safety training and certifications. Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. Address guest needs professionally. Develop positive relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns. Ensure adherence to quality standards.

Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Lift and move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years.
  • License or Certification: None required.
