Role Description
The Captain Floor is responsible for overseeing daily floor operations to ensure excellent guest service and smooth workflow in the restaurant. This full-time, on-site role is based in Surabaya and includes coordinating table assignments, supervising service staff, and maintaining service standards throughout operating hours. The Captain Floor monitors guest satisfaction, responds to special requests or concerns, and supports staff in delivering timely, accurate orders. The role also involves training and mentoring team members, maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining area, and collaborating with the kitchen and management to handle reservations, special events, and peak service periods. The Captain Floor prepares basic operational reports and provides feedback to management to improve service quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, hospitality, and guest relations skills to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Team leadership, staff supervision, and mentoring abilities to guide and support floor staff effectively.
- Operational coordination, attention to detail, and time management skills for handling table turns, reservations, and peak hours.
- Clear verbal communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests, staff, and management.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in restaurant or hotel front-of-house roles (e.g., floor supervisor, head waiter, or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
- Basic understanding of food and beverage service standards and fine-dining etiquette is an advantage.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or culinary-related education is a plus.
- Professional appearance and commitment to upholding CAP Group’s service and hygiene standards.
