Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies and tactical plans for the ophthalmic portfolio to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Commercial Operations: Manage the entire commercial operations for the business unit, ensuring effective execution of marketing and sales activities.
- Sales Performance: Lead, mentor, and coach sales teams, set performance targets, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive sales performance.
- Financial Management: Hold accountability for the allocated brand's profit and loss (P&L), including financial planning and budget management.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams.
- Team Leadership: Develop talent, provide coaching, and effectively manage performance within the business unit.
- Business Development: Identify new opportunities for existing and new products and business ventures to maximize results.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of ophthalmic experience as a manager in the ophthalmology field is preferred.
- Good relationships with KOLs, ophthalmology associations, eye hospitals, and health regulators.
- Ability to create business plans, budgets, and new product penetration strategies.
- Understanding of ophthalmic industry trends, market landscape, pricing, and distribution channels (hospitals, clinics, optical retailers).
