Business Development Manager (Smart Manufacturing) - Mandarin Speaking

Client Details: Multinational Smart Manufacturing & Industrial Digitalization Solution

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Manager based in Jakarta/Palembang to lead regional sales and oversee local project coordination, focusing on Chinese key accounts and Chinese leadership team from clients. With expertise spanning AI and digital transformation, we enable industrial clients to optimize operations and drive productivity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and adoption of AI and digital solutions in Smart Manufacturing, focusing on pulp & paper and mining sectors.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels—from shop floor to executives.
  • Coordinate with key accounts, contractors, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth solution delivery and support.
  • Apply deep smart manufacturing expertise to uncover client challenges and propose high-value digital solutions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, proposal development, deal structuring, negotiation, and closure.
  • Work closely with internal teams (pre-sales, solution architects, delivery) to design tailored client solutions.
  • Develop financial models (ROI, CapEx/OpEx, payback) to support value-based selling.
  • Oversee local project execution, resolve issues, and align with project managers for successful delivery.
  • Travel across Sumatra and Sulawesi to support client engagements and project activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in any related field.
  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience in sales with a proven track record in AI, digitalization, and industrial solutions.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • In-depth domain knowledge of AI and Digital products/solutions is essential.
  • Experience in digital transformation, IIoT, or smart manufacturing is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of Smart Manufacturing operation processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels and with business partners.
  • Independent, resilient, resourceful, and results-driven.

Can be based in Jakarta or Palembang and able to work on-site full-time.
