Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop growth strategies, manage client relationships, and promote company products. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development and a background in engineering or construction. This role includes travel within Indonesia and Southeast Asia, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in engineering and construction; experience in chemical engineering is a plus.
  • Requirements can be lowered if the candidate is exceptionally good.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research and reports to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing clients’ objectives.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate with clients, ensuring adherence to laws.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople.
  • Prepare bidding documents and participate in clarification meetings.
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences related to business development.

Education

Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role

Proven working experience in engineering and construction, experience in chemical engineering is a plus

Good customer resources are a plus

Proficiency in MS Office software

Proficiency in English, It's a plus if can speak Mandarin.
