Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the BESS sector, including grid‑scale, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to meet revenue and growth targets.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory policies, and competitor activities to position the company effectively.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers, including utilities, EPCs, developers, and energy service providers.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to develop customized BESS solutions for clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to secure profitable deals.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Proposal Development & Deal Execution: Lead the preparation of proposals, RFPs, and tender submissions in collaboration with technical teams; structure financial models, ROI analyses, and value propositions for BESS projects; work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements; ensure smooth handover of projects to the execution team post‑sale.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns, case studies, and whitepapers; provide market feedback to product development teams to align offerings with customer needs; support policy and advocacy efforts to promote energy storage adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the energy storage, renewable energy, or power sectors.
- Proven track record of closing deals in BESS, solar+storage, or related energy solutions.
- Strong understanding of battery technologies (lithium‑ion, flow batteries, etc.), energy markets, and project economics.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, incentives, and grid services (frequency regulation, peak shaving, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
