A leading beverage company in Indonesia is seeking a Business Development Associate to strategize market entry into China. The ideal candidate will manage partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate cross-functional efforts. Excellent Mandarin communication skills and a strong understanding of market dynamics in the FMCG sector are essential. This role offers an opportunity to drive significant growth in overseas markets.
Develop and execute strategic plans for entering and growing presence in overseas markets, with a primary focus on Mainland China.
Communicate fluently in Mandarin (both written and spoken) to effectively engage with Chinese partners, distributors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Chinese FMCG & F&B sectors.
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with local distributors, retailers, e-commerce platforms, and other strategic partners in China.
Ensure all products and operations comply with Chinese import regulations, labeling laws, food safety standards, and other relevant requirements.
Collaborate with marketing teams to localize brand messaging, packaging, and promotional campaigns to align with Chinese consumer preferences.
Drive revenue growth by setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing initiatives to boost product visibility and volume in China.
Work closely with internal teams (R&D, supply chain, finance, etc.) to support smooth market entry and operational readiness.
Represent the company at trade shows, business forums, and networking events in China to build brand presence and gain market insights.
Provide regular updates on market performance, partner activities, and business development milestones to senior management, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
