Company Description: Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon overlooks the scenic South China Sea. The resort will introduce Swiss-inspired hospitality to Bintan, featuring 420 rooms & suites, two golf courses, three lagoon swimming pools, unique restaurant concepts, a two-storey beach club, spacious event spaces, and a wellness village with a gym, a spa, and a Kid Club.
Job Description: This position is responsible for creating a seamless, memorable and safe experience for all guests upon arrival, during stay and when guests depart from the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate guest needs and exceed guest expectations.
 - Recognize and appreciate repeat guests and elite members.
 - Continuously learn and grow with strong product knowledge; able to answer guest inquiries confidently.
 - Embrace and take pride in being part of the Mövenpick Hotel.
 - Help guests as they arrive at the hotel, taking charge of their vehicle and luggage.
 - Handle ad hoc taxi/transportation requests and ensure timely follow-up.
 - Ensure that vehicles can circulate freely at the front entrance and manage the entrance queue to avoid jams.
 - Ensure smooth transfer of guests' luggage on arrival and departure within the specified timing and operating standards.
 - Understand local areas, surroundings and communities; respond to guest queries professionally.
 - Note additional instructions for guests or information about arrival/departure.
 - Communicate with the front office and guest relations; follow standard operating procedures relevant to luggage/storage.
 - Handle all guest belongings with extra care; manage the storage room efficiently.
 - Be well versed in using the property management system; escort guests to rooms and explain room facilities and hotel services confidently.
 - Assist guests with courier services, embarkation requirements, babysitting requests, and other needs.
 - Deliver newspapers to guests’ rooms upon request in a timely manner; ensure email correspondence is followed up promptly.
 - Stay informed about happenings in the hotel and surrounding areas; provide information about local events and sightseeing, and make travel arrangements as needed.
 - Upsell and cross-sell hotel products; understand the hotel’s lost-and-found policy and communicate hotel rules and regulations confidently.
 - Make restaurant reservations, map directions, and book tours per guest instructions following standard operating procedures.
 - Arrange transportation/taxi services for guests and follow up to prevent delays.
 - Follow all standard operating procedures and hotel rules and regulations; be able to move and lift heavy items up to 20 kg and stand, sit or walk for extended periods.
 - Ensure the safety of guests' property (luggage, vehicles, keys, etc.); keep reception up-to-date on observations or problems during shifts.
 
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma or degree in hospitality is an advantage.
 - Minimum of 1 year prior experience in an international hotel chain is essential.
 - Fluent in the national language and a good working level of English; ability in a third language is an added advantage.
 - Recognized driving license held for at least 2 years.
 - Understanding of the local environment and surroundings.
