As a Bartender, you'll play a key role in crafting a fun and memorable experience for our guests. You will accurately take customer orders and ensure prompt service, all while demonstrating your expertise and enthusiasm for beverages by crafting a variety of cocktails.

You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests while ensuring high-quality service and memorable experiences. From mixing cocktails to engaging with guests, this role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Warmly welcome guests and present menus promptly.
  • Practice responsible alcohol service. This encompasses checking IDs to prevent underage drinking, monitoring intoxication levels, and refusing service when necessary.
  • Implementing alcohol awareness practices to ensure a safe environment.
  • Inform guests of daily specials, menu changes, and availability.
  • Offer personalized drink recommendations, considering both guest preferences and profitable menu items.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality drink preparation.
  • Check on customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary bar environment at all times.
  • Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintain and replenish stock by placing timely orders.
  • Uphold high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Effectively handle and resolve customer complaints.
  • Attend all scheduled training and development sessions.
  • Implement procedures, lessons, and information learned during training.
  • Contribute to the bar's online presence by collecting positive reviews on platforms like Facebook and TripAdvisor.
Health and Safety
  • Proactively support the company's health and safety program.
  • Ensure all team members understand their health and safety responsibilities as outlined in the company's Health and Safety Policy, and monitor compliance with its procedures.
  • Be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down in the Health and Safety Policy applicable to your workplace. This includes awareness of any specific hazards.
  • Report any building, plant, or equipment defects according to hostel procedures.
  • Ensure immediate reporting of any accidents involving team members, customers, or visitors according to established procedures. Promote awareness of these procedures across the division.
  • Attend mandatory fire and relevant health and safety training.
  • Be fully conversant with and abide by all fire and health and safety rules. Ensure effective management of these aspects across the operation.
  • Maintain thorough familiarity with all risk assessments for your departments, COSHH regulations, and fire/bomb procedures.
  • Ensure your team stays up-to-date and proactively manages their responsibilities in these areas.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a high-volume establishment, where you thrived in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive and energetic personality with a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of bartending fundamentals, including cocktail recipes, bar equipment, and proper serving techniques.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to connect with guests.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and ensuring smooth service during peak hours.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring cleanliness, proper inventory management, and a well-stocked bar.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Flexibility to work on a shifting schedule, weekends, and holidays as required.
