Platinum Hotel and Convention Hall Balikpapan is a 4 Star Hotel and Convention Hall with 200 keys of rooms and suites, F&B outlets with speciality restaurant, panoramic 360° Rooftop Terrace serving top notch selections of steak and other menus for a romantic or casual dining. Our meeting and convention halls are expanding to a new level from 8 meeting rooms and a grand ballroom that cater up to 1500 persons to a new meeting and convention hall with capacity up to 3000 persons, ideal for a massive exhibitions or a grande gala dinner celebrations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Balikpapan for a Banquet And Catering Operations Specialist. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising all banquet and catering operations to ensure seamless execution of events. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their requirements, managing budgets, supervising catering staff, and ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction. The specialist will also oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Expertise in Food & Beverage and Food Service management
  • Proficiency in Culinary Skills with a focus on food preparation, presentation, and quality
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills
  • Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
