Job summary

PT Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Life is seeking a seasoned backend software engineer to design and maintain production-grade services and APIs. You will join cross-functional teams and focus on scalable, highly available systems with strong security practices.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL and Redis, containerizing with Docker, and deploying through CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Job description

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend software development.


• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems and APIs.


• Experience working in cross-functional product teams (product, frontend).


• Experience designing scalable systems in high-availability environments.

Technical Competency :

• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Ruby, Python, Go).


• Understanding other code languages like Java, .Net Core, etc is a plus


• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and backend system architecture.


• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis).


• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.


• Ability to design scalable systems and optimize system performance.


• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).


• Experience with containerization and deployment tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines).


• Strong understanding of system monitoring, logging, and debugging.


• Experience with version control systems, especially Git-based workflows.


• Familiarity with automated testing and quality assurance practices.


• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.


• Ability to deliver within deadlines.


• Continuous learning attitude and adaptability to emerging technologies.


• Financial Services Industry (FSI) background and regulatory compliance knowledge is a plus.
