Job summary

Coins is seeking a senior Java architect to lead the design and delivery of the core cross-border payment platform. You will own system architecture, security controls, and multi-currency settlement across international rails, LPMs, and card networks.

You will collaborate with risk, finance, compliance, and product teams to improve stability, security, and performance, while guiding the end-to-end lifecycle of payments infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 2+ years in technical architecture and distributed system design.
• 2+ years building and maintaining payment infrastructure.
• Lead developer/architect for end-to-end lifecycle of a core payment platform (acquiring, clearing, or settlement).
• Experience with integrations to international payment rails, banking APIs, LPMs, and card networks.

Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Delivery: Lead the architectural design, end-to-end development, and performance optimization of the core cross-border payment platform. Spearhead technical implementations across the full payment lifecycle, including acquiring, clearing, settlement, and ledger accounting.

• Capital Security & Risk Mitigation: Architect robust anti-fund-loss frameworks by deeply analyzing transaction risks. Design and deploy automated reconciliation engines, sophisticated exception-handling systems, and continuous fund audits to structurally eliminate financial leaks and capital exposure.

• Global Channel Integration: Spearhead integrations with international payment rails, banking channels, local payment methods (LPMs), and major credit card networks. Architect configurations to seamlessly handle complex cross-border variables, including localized compliance, dynamic exchange rates (FX), and multi-currency settlement.

• Performance & Scalability Optimization: Continuously optimize system infrastructure to guarantee high availability, low latency, and operational efficiency. Solve critical distributed system challenges involving massive concurrency, distributed transactions, and strict data consistency.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with risk management, corporate finance, compliance, and product teams to drive continuous improvements in payment system stability, security, and financial compliance.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on Java development experience, with at least 2+ years dedicated to technical architecture and distributed system design.

• At least 2+ years of specialized experience in building and maintaining payment infrastructure, with deep proficiency in the core logic, architecture, and transaction flows of cross-border payment platforms.

• Proven track record of serving as the lead developer or architect for the end-to-end lifecycle of a core payment platform (covering acquiring, clearing, or settlement).

• Strong understanding of capital protection frameworks. Possesses practical experience in diagnosing fund-loss incidents or designing automated mitigation systems (such as high-speed reconciliation engines or fund audits).

• Prior experience handling integrations with international payment rails, banking APIs, localized payment methods (LPMs), and credit card networks is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach to technical problem-solving.
