Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a valuation professional to join our team in Indonesia. The role focuses on building and maintaining valuation models, analyzing financial data, and supporting client engagements across M&A, valuation, and advisory services.

You will work under Managers and Directors, applying rigorous financial concepts and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills to deliver high-quality results for clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, valuation, or financial consulting.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with a solid understanding of corporate finance concepts.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain valuation models using income, market, and asset-based approaches (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
• Research and compile financial data on companies, industries, and market transactions.
• Analyse historical financial statements and prepare normalization adjustments.
• Calculate discount rates, including WACC, cost of equity, and size or company-specific premiums.
• Support purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, and intangible asset valuations.
• Prepare sections of valuation reports, client presentations, and supporting workpapers.
• Perform quality checks on data, formulas, and outputs, and document assumptions clearly.
• Respond to client and reviewer questions, and assist with information requests.
• Contribute to internal initiatives, such as business development activities, creating templates, benchmarks, and knowledge-sharing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to the development of insights and recommendations for clients under the guidance of Managers and Directors.

How You Will Contribute

• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, valuation, or financial consulting
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with a solid understanding of corporate finance concepts
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
• Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CA, MBA) are an advantage but not required
