Job summary

McDermott is seeking an Associate Production Engineer to apply existing production procedures to solve routine problems under guidance. You will contribute to design and fabrication concepts, supporting the development team with practical analyses and modeling.

You will work on translating customer needs into manufacturable designs, conduct theoretical testing, oversee fabrication processes, and ensure conformance to safety and market standards as part of a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required or preferred.
• Strong analytical and design capabilities are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of industry and market trends is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas based on customer needs, budgets, and market research.
• Meet with development team to discuss product ideas.
• Analyze market and industry product trends.
• Create rough product designs using sketches and software.
• Conduct theoretical testing on design models.
• Create full product designs and specifications using modeling tools.
• Select materials and design manufacturing processes.
• Oversee assembly and ensure conformance to specifications and safety standards.
