Job summary

MatchaTalent in Jakarta seeks an Assistant Manager – Finance Transformation & Systems to bridge finance operations, IT systems, and digital transformation. You will standardize workflows, optimize ERP functionality, and implement automation across multi-entity operations.

You’ll translate finance needs into system specs, support ERP projects, coordinate with IT and vendors, and lead UAT while driving automation and improved reporting with Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or AIS or related field.
• 4–7 years in accounting, finance transformation, or finance systems.
• 2–3 years in senior/supervisory role within multinational FMCG or multi-entity.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and financial consolidation.
• Hands-on ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with ERP implementation, UAT, and process mapping.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, data analytics, or RPA experience is a plus.
• Excellent English, plus Mandarin is advantageous for regional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review and standardize finance processes for efficiency and control.
• Develop and document finance SOPs, workflows, and policies across entities.
• Lead ERP and finance system enhancements, including requirements, configuration, UAT, and post-implementation reviews.
• Translate finance requirements into functional specs for IT and vendors.
• Act as liaison between Finance, IT, and business units, including external providers.
• Support intercompany reconciliation, consolidation, data analysis, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data accuracy.

As the organization operates across multiple entities and business units, it is continuously strengthening its finance governance, systems, and digital capabilities. The company is seeking a Finance Transformation professional to support process standardization, ERP optimization, and automation initiatives across its operations.

Job Role

The Assistant Manager – Finance Transformation & Systems will serve as a techno-functional finance professional bridging finance operations, IT systems, and digital transformation. Rather than focusing on routine bookkeeping or month-end closing, this role will focus on improving finance processes, standardizing workflows, optimizing ERP functionality, and implementing automation solutions across multiple entities.

The position will translate finance and accounting requirements into system specifications, support ERP enhancement and implementation projects, coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The role will also drive financial automation and reporting improvements using tools such as Power BI and other data analytics or RPA solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities for standardization, efficiency, and control improvements.
• Develop and improve finance SOPs, workflows, policies, and process documentation across multiple entities.
• Lead and support ERP and finance system enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, process mapping, system configuration support, UAT, implementation, and post-implementation reviews.
• Translate finance and accounting requirements into functional system specifications for IT teams and external software vendors.
• Act as the key functional liaison between Finance, IT, business units, and external technology providers.
• Support intercompany reconciliation, financial consolidation, data analysis, and management reporting activities when required.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual finance and accounting processes and improve data accuracy.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting dashboards using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
• Support RPA and other digitalization initiatives to streamline repetitive finance workflows and reporting processes.
• Monitor system performance and gather user feedback to identify further ERP and process improvement opportunities.
• Support cross-functional transformation projects and ensure successful adoption of new finance processes and systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Accounting Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 4–7 years of experience in accounting, finance transformation, finance systems, or related functions.
• At least 2–3 years of senior-level or supervisory experience, preferably within a multinational FMCG, manufacturing, or other multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including intercompany accounting and financial consolidation.
• Hands‑on functional experience with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Yonyou, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with ERP implementation, module enhancement, process mapping, system improvement, or User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Strong understanding of finance process improvement, workflow optimization, and SOP standardization.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, business intelligence, data analytics, RPA, or other finance automation tools is highly advantageous.
• Strong ability to translate business and finance requirements into functional system solutions.
• Excellent project coordination, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken, for corporate communication and documentation.
• Mandarin proficiency, both written and spoken, is a strong advantage for collaboration with regional or HQ stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with Finance, IT, business users, and external vendors.
