A manufacturing company in Indonesia seeks a dedicated Cost Accountant to lead product costing functions. Responsibilities include conducting variance analysis, improving costing processes, and preparing analytical insights for management. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant field. Proficiency in SAP and strong analytical skills are essential for success. This role is crucial for supporting budgeting and pricing strategies.
Lead end-to-end product costing: standard cost, actual cost, cost roll-up, variance analysis.
Review accuracy of BOM, routing, and production master data.
Monitor PUP (Periodic Unit Price) and analyze its impact on inventory valuation and COGS.
Identify significant or unusual cost fluctuations or variance and provide analytical insights and recommendations for cost efficiency initiatives to the operations team.
Manage and maintain costing-related data and processes in SAP (FICO & costing module), including:
Support pricing strategy by maintaining sales price databases and ensuring profitability compliance.
Act as PIC for costing data requested by internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants, and management.
Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen costing governance, accuracy, and efficiency.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and standard cost updates.
Coordinate closely with Production, SCM, Accounting, and Sales to ensure costing accuracy and alignment with operations.
Prepare concise costing reports and insights for management.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
Minimum 3 years experience in cost accounting from manufacturing industry (Shoes Industry preferred).
Strong understanding of product costing, variance analysis, and inventory control.
Hands‑on experience with SAP Material Ledger (Actual Costing); familiar with MM/PP/FI‑CO flow.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced in Excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate numbers into business insights.
Good communication skills, detail‑oriented, structured, and able to work cross‑functionally.
Understanding of manufacturing processes; willing to visit production sites.
