Job Description
Work on one of the most ambitious digitaltransformation programs in Indonesia.
As Assistant Manager at MSC, you will guide national reforms in digital ID, G2Pdelivery, and digital public infrastructure working directly with topgovernment agencies, global development partners, and a world-class technicalteam. This is role is for a ecosystem builder and reform champion who wants toshape systems that impact millions of people while growing MSC’s global digitalgovernance portfolio.
Assistant Manager – TechnologyPolicy and Innovation will play a key role in supporting MSC’s Centre forResponsible Technologies (CRT) in the design, development, and implementationof Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) solutions across multiple countries.
This positionwill work at the intersection of technology, public policy, digitaltransformation, and innovation. The role involves extensive engagement withgovernment agencies, donors, private sector partners, and internal MSC teams tomanage technical assistance assignments, lead requirement gathering, drivesolution design, and support implementation across diverse digital initiativessuch as Digital ID, Data Sharing, AI/ML, Cloud, and open-source technologies.
Detailed Responsibilities
BusinessExecution
- Support major technical assistance assignments focused on digitalsolutions, Digital ID, Data Sharing, and DPI components.
- Manage client and ecosystem interactions and project execution,ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery.
- Lead requirement gathering, issue analysis, solution design, anddevelopment of practical technical recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, technical reports, solutionarchitecture inputs, and roadmaps to ecosystem members, government and donorstakeholders.
- Oversee solution ideation, architecture discussions, prototypedevelopment, and vendor coordination.
- Work closely with internal MSC teams, external technology vendors,and implementation partners during all phases of the project.
- Conduct in-depth research, reviews, and prepare thematic papers,technical notes, and analytical reports.
- Attend and represent MSC/CRT at client meetings, workshops, andconferences within Indonesia and internationally.
BusinessDevelopment
- Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospectiveclients across government, private sector, and donor institutions.
- Identify business development opportunities based on emergingdigital transformation needs and market trends.
- Lead or support the development of concept notes, proposals, pitchdecks, and responses to RFIs/RFPs.
- Engage with ecosystem members, donors, partners, and stakeholdersto position MSC’s expertise in DPI, digital solutions, and emerging tech.
- Contribute to thought leadership through blogs, publications, andknowledge products on DPI, Digital ID, Data Sharing, AI, and related areas.
ProfessionalDevelopment
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Analysts and Associates duringproject execution.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and contribute to internal learninginitiatives across the CRT team.
- Invest in continuous self-development on areas such as DPI, AI/ML,digital transformation, open-source technologies, cloud, and systemsarchitecture.
- Provide and seek timely feedback to support team development andhigh performance.
Requirements
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- Bachelors or master’s in technology /engineering or relevant field
- Additional certifications or training in digital transformation,AI/ML, cloud, data engineering, enterprise architecture, or technology policy(Preferred).
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, or implementingdigital solutions or DPI-related initiatives.
- Experience in one or more domains - AI/ML,Cloud, Data & Analytics, Process Automation, Digital Transformation,Open-source stack.
- Prior experience in consulting, government advisory, technologyimplementation, digital governance, or system integration roles.
- Exposure to working with government stakeholders, donor agencies,and international development organizations (Preferred).
